This year brings an excitement level to college football in the Palmetto that has been unmatched in its history.  Both Clemson and South Carolina have won 10 or more games for three consecutive seasons.

The Tigers have recruited at a high level for several seasons now, and that’s why Clemson is ranked #16 in the preseason poll despite having now lost their top two rushers from 2013, the top quarterback and the top two receivers.  Recruiting, and a defense that should be one of the tops in the nation.  Senior Cole Stoudt return to the lead the Clemson offense, and Cole’s poise and decision making are two things the coaching staff is counting on.

All that being said, there’s not another school in the country that races two difficult road trips in their first three games as the Tigers do in heading to Georgia on August 30th and Florida State on September 20th.  Split those games, and there’s a lot on the table for this Clemson team in 2014; win both of them, and the sky’s the limit!

It's the dawning of a new day and era in college football - the long-awaited College Football Playoff. It's here. It's now. The big question is which four teams will be selected by the Committee to play for the title? We've got 13 games ahead of us, destined to be filled with big plays, close calls, and late-game drama for us all to enjoy or cry over. The preseason polls are out and favorites have been crowned. Everybody - every single team - has a shot for another week, sitting innocently and optimistically at 0-0. Can the Tigers navigate a tough stretch to open the season with a pair of games against Top-12 opponents in order to validate Dabo's team as a contender again?  Will Steve Spurrier finally get that elusive SEC title he's been chasing since arriving in Columbia? The long wait is almost over and we're fired up to talk and debate it all on "The Extra Point" postgame show!
