This year brings an excitement level to college football in the Palmetto that has been unmatched in its history. Both Clemson and South Carolina have won 10 or more games for three consecutive seasons.
The Tigers have recruited at a high level for several seasons now, and that’s why Clemson is ranked #16 in the preseason poll despite having now lost their top two rushers from 2013, the top quarterback and the top two receivers. Recruiting, and a defense that should be one of the tops in the nation. Senior Cole Stoudt return to the lead the Clemson offense, and Cole’s poise and decision making are two things the coaching staff is counting on.
All that being said, there’s not another school in the country that races two difficult road trips in their first three games as the Tigers do in heading to Georgia on August 30th and Florida State on September 20th. Split those games, and there’s a lot on the table for this Clemson team in 2014; win both of them, and the sky’s the limit!
