Like many folks, I got to enjoy a nice long weekend off from the office. Granted I was still on the air, but there was virtually no office work to be done for four days so I am very thankful for that. I got to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with my wife and my side of the family early in the day on Thursday then got to spend time with her side of the family even though she had to work that night. So I am thankful that I have in-laws that I actually like! Speaking of which, we have to have some make-up time with the mother-in-law! She has still yet to see Fantastic Beasts!

While spending time with my family, I received some disturbing news that one of the guitarists in my current band, Burn the Cynic, longtime friend and frequent bandmate, Chris Moon collapsed while visiting his family in Columbia on Thanksgiving Day. His blood sugar had skyrocketed while his blood pressure bottomed out. He was dignosed with a slew of health problems but was able to be brought back from death's door. To make a long story short, it was a helluva way for him to find out he is diabetic.

After the family festivities, I actually went to Best Buy late on Thanksgiving to take advantage of some killer deals they had going on. I didn't get there until after 11pm and they had been open since 5pm so the crowd really wasn't that bad. I was in and out in an hour and that included a good bit of time roaming around the store. I looked long enough to even snag some stuff for myself like the complete series of The Twilight Zone! All 156 episodes!

The rest of the weekend I was pretty useless as I laid around and caught up on some shows. I am actually completely caught up with Gotham for the first time in well over a month. I did make it out to Benson Chrysler Dodge Jeep on Saturday for a live broadcast from 1 until 3pm so I did see the Sun for a short while!

Speaking of Jeep, I don't believe I have blogged about my Jeep 'stache! Jeep emailed out the offer which I couldn't resist especially since the profits went towards prostate cancer research and awareness. Plus it looks super dapper on my Renegade!

Saturday morning I woke up to a sore throat that was tolerable that day but has since worsened considerably. Yesterday I felt so rough that I came to work rockin' some sweatpants.

Today is the fourth day in a row I have been dealing with whatever I am fighting off and I am beyond over it already. Especially the sore throat part which makes me want to claw my throat out of my neck. My wife has been fighting some respiratory crud herself. That being said, I am thankful that my health is good otherwise as I know a lot of people with much worse health problems including numerous cases of cancer. I am also thankful that Moon didn't buy the farm and gets to hang around a while longer for me to harp on him about taking care of himself! Love you, brother! Rock on!
