Earlier this week, I forgot to give my two cents on the new Marvel film, Doctor Strange. One reason I forgot was because of all the other stuff going on like the little election we just had, my band going into the studio and meeting/seeing Ghost in Charlotte. Another reason is that, while I did enjoy the film, Doctor Strange is not as entertaining of a character to me as many of the others in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Granted, the role was well cast and the story had a lot of humor in it to give the film life. Plus I was pleased to see the introduction of the fifth Infinity Stone (SPOILER ALERT!!!!). Okay, not that it was really a big secret in the first place! I recommend the film for the diehards like myself in keeping up with the storyline leading up to Infinity War but not necessarily for the casual fan. Don't get me wrong, the casual fan will probably enjoy it as well but don't go in expecting Iron Man or Captain America type storylines.
Yesterday was my favorite "work" day of the year as I got the day "off" as far as being on the air but I spent a fair amount of time in front of Bon Secours Wellness Arena during the Rise Guys' 28 Hour Broadcast benefiting Toys For Tots. Some folks from my church (including my pastor) came to give out free hot chocolate for most of the day so I hung out with them and interacted with a lot of listeners as they came out to donate and help kids right here in the Upstate. At 8:30, I took a group of friends and joined Paige and some Marines and promotions staff to do a shopping spree at O.P. Taylor's on Main St. Check out the videos!
