Well I survived the Rise Guys 28 Hour Big Ass Broadcast for Toys For Tots on Thursday and Tessa survived her carpal tunnel surgery on her right hand on Friday! Hell I even survived a weekend visit from my likely mother-in-law-to-be as she spent the weekend with us so she could take care of Tessa.
For the better part of the weekend we let Tessa rest getting out for only a few hours to shop on Saturday then to go see The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 on Sunday. I was trying to find a way out of the latter venture by offering to go see A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas but there are now only two daily showings left and it's not even Thanksgiving yet! So I went to my first theater visit for a Twilight flick.
Like all the other films, it actually holds some entertainment value but not until towards the end of the film. New Moon was the worst about dragging ass until the end but this one was pretty bad about it as well. Eclipse was the most tolerable installment because there was a bit more action spread throughout the film.
All throughout the film, I was checking my phone for the latest scores on the Tampa Bay/Green Bay game. I know that's a no no, but I held the phone close to my chest so not to allow the light to disturb any of the other theater patrons. Needless to say, my boys lost but they held their own as they went toe-to-toe with the undefeated defending Super Bowl champs! At least they play the Titans this weekend! Should add one to our 'win' category!
