GERMAN HOME INVASION OF A GREEK ALIEN GOD
How's THAT for an enticing title?! The German part refers to the restaurant Tessa and I went to with her grandmother and Aunt Cheryl called Gerhard's Cafe which serves various German dishes that include numerous exotic meats. For instance, I had some grilled fish called wahoo while Tessa had some quail and her grandmother and aunt had lobster whiskey which is lobster baked with cream and Irish whiskey. It was definitely very interesting and we still had room to down some dessert!
We spent a good portion of the day visiting with them then went home and relaxed and did some laundry since Tessa's best friend Krista and her fiance Brandon were coming into town the next day.
After church, Tessa and I did a little shopping at Target then went to Mojo's for some good ol' burgers! As we were pulling up, I got a call from my mom informing me that Aunt Pat's house had been broken into. So, without going into the restaurant, we drove on to my aunt's house. The police were already there when we arrived and the perp ran off with only her diamond tennis bracelet and her small handgun which I've known about for years but have never actually seen. While the investigator was checking for prints, Tessa and I went back to Mojo's to pick up burgers and bring one back for Aunt Pat.
We got back home just in time to take Vader out then meet up with Krista and Brandon and go check out the new sci-fi flick Prometheus. I had mixed feelings about the film going in and coming out of the theater. I did appreciate the fact that it helped explain the origins of the aliens from the Alien films but, in doing so, actually posed more questions. I didn't dislike it, but I didn't exactly like it either. I may get it on NetFlix down the road and give it another look.
After the movie, we grabbed some dinner at Papa's & Beer before heading home to finish laundry and Krista and Brandon made their way back to B.F.N.C.!
